Hey guys,
I found this really interesting thread on the wow forums for us priests.
It's mainly for disc and holy specs but it also has nice input on the different stats for priests in general (sp, spirit, hit, mp5, int, stam...).
This thread is strictly for PVE, so I'll try to find another for PVPers and for shadow priests (altough I see the same logic behind the stats, just replace the mp5 for hit and a bit more of int compared to spirit ie: replenish buff (cuz it's % of total mana so more int means more regen) and other end game trinket (that also works with the % of total mana mechanism) and the fact that at 80 int brings more to dps priests then spririt)
If I'm going for shadow at 80 I'll go with this: Hit (until cap)>SP>crit>spirit/int (with a greater emphasis on int)

Here's a short version of the thread:
Stack haste up to 10%. Think hard about whether you need more than that, given raid buffs and talents.
Pick up as much intellect as you can. It's always valuable.
Spellpower is always good.
For holy, 9 spirit = 4 Mp5, ignoring spellpower gains entirely. Given spellpower gains, a 2:1 ratio is acceptable.
For disc, 5 spirit = 2 Mp5, with no spellpower gains. Convert cleanly, and make your decision.
Crit is always valuable, although less so once you break 25% raid-buffed (diminishing returns on ilvl points spent).
Rough goals for the end of Naxx.25 are to have 2600 spellpower, 25% crit, and 10% haste, along with ~ 500 Mp5 I5SR. Assume full raid buffs when factoring in your progression toward the goal.
Anyways, read it, it's really well written and straight forward.
