Where to start...ok i know 2 words come to mind now that wotlk is upon us.
When i say pally you say overpowerd ok.
Ret Spec
Ret is perhaps now 1 of the best dps in world of warcraft due to the huge buff given to them in wotlk patches/exspansion.
The basic ret pally will not only dps but can cast instant cast flash of lights if speced into it in there respectfull tree.
Ret pallys are becoming more and more popular as dps in raids instances and such. Not only that but Ret pallys are probly the most over powered pvp class in the game at the moment.
Playing as a Ret pally is very simple nothing to complicated.
on my pally i made a macro so when i proc my instant flash of light it will drop it on me with out having to go far from my attacks to cast it
the macro is
/target ''your name''
/cast flash of light
As we pallys know we have what 3 attack seals
Seal of Blood
Seal of Vengeance
Seal of Command
where for starters your best dps Seal is none other than Seal of Blood
Dont get daunted by Seal of Bloods health loss becasue it doesent take away that much health that it will make you or break you. However Seal of Blood has been prefered by most pallys to pve purposes only but thats a matter of how you feel about yourself using it.
Seal of Vengeance is borderline pve/pvp the dot you get is nice but the damage isent nearly as high as Command or vengeance. The buff you get stacks 5 times and you can do some nice holy damage when its at 5 proc.
this would work nice if you have 2 or more ret pallys it will help boost there damage and dps.
Seal of Command is the only command gotten by your talent tree. This Seal is more of a pvp seal as it does good damage but doesent drain your heath if your worried about it. The 1 plus to this seal which many pallys over look is that if your target is stunned or incapcitated its a automatic crit which leans it towards pvp casue i cant think of 1 or if any bosses which are stunable.
those are your 3 basic attack commands in the way of a seal
ok now for those new and pesky judgements
Judgement of light
Judgement of Wisdom
Judgement of Justice
these 3 Judgements all serve a differnt purpose
Judgement of Light:this judgment is like seal of light but in judgement form it puts a dot on your target everytime someone strikes the target affected they get healed. This judgement is Very nice and is good to have becasue it helps your healers with raid healing.
Judgement of Wisdom:Is the same exact thing as Judgemnt as light but with mana instead of hp
Judgement of Justice:ok this Judgment is very usefull in pvp, when put on the target it cant go faster than normal movement speed. so if your chasing a person on a mount drop this seal and dps them as they try to get away on there now 0% speed increase mount. This is also usefull in pve becasue it prevents the target from fleeing when your leveling
General Judgements Need To Knows
Only 1 judgement may be on the target per pally, inother words 1 judgement buff per pally.
Each judgement does the same amount of damage your seals are the 1 that differs the damage you do
If more than 2 pallys cordinate which judgment and seal you will be useing to help the raid the most.
