Hey all. A couple of the officers were chatting and looking at the roster. We finally have enough 80's to start doing at least 10 mans. Whoot! Please stay tuned to these forums and the guild message as to what the plans/requirements will be. Also, get with your CO. We need to find out who is available and what spec you plan on being for raids.

Some boss guides for healers:
http://www.worldofmatticus.com/guides/naxxramas-healing-guide/
Also all healers should work on getting to at least 1500, preferably 1700 healing to start raiding.

I heard somewhere that dps need to be 2000 (on dps meter). This is my goal...
I'm around 1800 atm....

As we are starting to look at raiding again, remember that it isn't how much DPS or healing you have at your disposal, it is do you know what you are doing and do you know your role in the boss fight. You must start preparing yourself to go from the solo player to the raid player, it is where you place the better of the group first and yourself last.
The boss fights have been done, I would highly suggest that you take some time and read these strats so you know them better than your raid leader does. It will only help them and your raid in the end if you know what you and everyone else is suppose to be doing.

I'm glad to see such eagerness in all of us. Tolsimir has mentioned that he intends to attempt some form of raid next weekend. From what I've seen, Archavon and the first 3 mini-bosses (Twilight Drakes) do not require much foreknowledge and can be explained relatively easily. However, Sartharion himself and the Naxx bosses, not so much.
http://www.tankspot.com/forums/f206/
This is a decent site for great-resolution videos/explanations of the encounters. Although, it is from a tank's perspective (which is good because anyone who intends to tank better know exactly what they are doing), all roles can benefit from it. I want everyone to look into some video, whether or not from this source, for the following bosses:
Sartharion (http://www.tankspot.com/forums/f206/41777-obsidian-sanctum-sartharion.html)
Anub'Rekhan (http://www.tankspot.com/forums/f206/41948-naxxramas-anub-rekhan.html)
Grand Widow Faerlina (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A14Iti_c7oQ&fmt=18) (apparently Tankspot skipped this one)
Maexxna (http://www.tankspot.com/forums/f206/42106-naxxramas-maexxna.html)
Noth the Plaguebringer (http://www.tankspot.com/forums/f206/42284-naxxramas-noth-plaguebringer.html)
Heigan the Unclean (http://www.tankspot.com/forums/f206/41872-naxxramas-heigan-unclean.html) (everyone NEEDS to watch because it is impossible to explain well enough without seeing it first and will get you killed if you don't)
Loatheb (http://www.tankspot.com/forums/f206/42292-naxxramas-loatheb.html) (anagram for Healbot, healers PLZ look into the healing guide for this fight (http://www.worldofmatticus.com/2008/09/24/healing-naxxramus-loatheb-10-man/), although the window is 3 seconds, not 4 as the link states)
These will be the first bosses we will be doing and we need everyone planning to fight them eventually to know everything they can about them.
This is under the assumption that we intend to do the Spider and Plague quarters of Naxx first, if that is not the case, I will edit who you need to know.
All healers will be expected to know the info provided at http://www.worldofmatticus.com/guides/naxxramas-healing-guide/, provided by Replenish above.
Let's blow these raids out of the water!

Tolsimir has set up our first raid day for Saturday, December 20th. It has been determined that we will do The Obsidian Sanctum (Sartharion) first, and attempt a boss or 2 in Naxx after, depending on progres. There is an event on the in-game calendar for it. So, seeing as we can only bring 10 people to this raid: know the fights (vid links are at the top of the page), be as geared as you can, get enchants/glyphs going (see Troly/Blaze/Eleazor/Crog/Tols), fully and properly gemmed (see Replenish), be spec'd the best pve talent setup (speak with your Class Officer), be online when invites go outwith consumables and ready to rumble! This will greatly increase your chance of being invited to one of these 10 highly desired spots. So, be your best and lets pwn some face.
P.S. I'm writing this b/c Tols is having issues with forums right now.
