Rogue Hit Caps and u!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You need 262 (99 with precision) hit to never miss with special attacks on raid bosses

you need 446 (315 with precision) for poisons

and a huge 918 (754 with precision) to never miss with auto attack.

It is recommended to stop at 315 hit then move to Agility and Crit gems/enchants

After a lot of researching, gawd its hard to find accurate stuff on this topic, Blizzard has hammerfisted rogues but only slightly. Instead of white damage being the major build up of our over all damage, poison is.

With this, a 51/13/5 spec will be (as of now) one, if not the best, spec for raiding. (Talent tree at link below)

Now u can still keep Combat swords for pve but on an average (EJ crunched numbers) it will do about 300dps lower. The way they currently have all the specs set up is kinda silly but they all are in a 300-500 dps range of each other.

Also, there is a current bug with vanish, keep an eye out for it.

Will add more as i find more!

More info on spec's here: http://roguerogue.com/?p=75

Rotation and then some:

The information posted below is just a quick and general outline of common strategies. Results
may differ for various armor and weapon combinations.

*** Update ***
Mutilate dagger speeds and poisons changed due to recent evidence that Mutilate has two chances
to proc the offhand poison. It is now more preferable to put the faster weapon in the offhand with IP.

PvE Mutilate, fast and flawed advice
Daggers of nearly the same DPS? Use the faster ones.
Two good daggers of different speeds? Faster in the Offhand.
Mainhand Deadly Poison, Offhand Instant Poison.

Rotation:
* Before combat, get 3 stacks of Hunger for Blood up.
* Start up Slice and Dice however you please, really.

1. Mutilate to 4+ Combo Points
2. Make sure Hunger for Blood isn't going to drop soon. Refresh it if it will.
3. Is Rupture up? If yes, Envenom. Go to step 1.
4. Does Slice and Dice have >12 seconds left? If no, Envenom. Go to Step 1.
5. Rupture. Go to Step 1.

PvE Combat, fast and flawed advice
Mainhand a sword or fist weapon of generally slow speed.
Offhand a sword, dagger or fist weapon of generally fast speed.
Spec appropriately, 4/5 sword spec is fine if you take Close Quarters Combat.

Rotation:
* Start up Slice and Dice however you please, really.

1. Sinister Strike to 5 Combo Points.
2. Slice and Dice.
3. Sinister Strike to 5 Combo Points.
4. Rupture.
5. Sinister Strike to 5 Combo Points.
6. Does Slice and Dice have >12 seconds left? If yes, Envenom/Eviscerate. If no, Go to Step 2.
7. Go to Step 1.

Without sword spec (fist/mace MH and dagger/fist/mace OH):
OH speed = 1.4: DP/WP
OH speed > 1.4: WP/DP

With sword spec (either MH or OH sword or both):
OH speed = 1.4: WP/WP
OH speed > 1.4: WP/DP
