I was playing Oh No More Lemmings on my dads laptop, I believe it was 400 MHz and 8 MB hard drive, but I think I am exagerating on that speed now that I think about it, maybe it was more like 100 MHz....

The game was chess and the Operating system was DOS. I was too young to remember the system specs.

My first ever computer game was a pacman clone on our old Mac's in 3rd grade. (1988ish)

The first one I really got into was a maze game on the old Prodigy system. It was the old type where you would get a menu of things to do (step forward, attack with sword, etc...)and choose one and wait for the mostly random outcome.

Zork?

My first PC was a Packard Bell 286mhz, 640K of Ram, 40 MB HDD, 5.25" Floppy and 2400baud Modem. First PC Game however I'd guess it was Oregon Trail on the Apple II.

Yup, my very first PC was a 10MHz IBM XT clone with 640K of RAM and a 2400 baud modem, two 5.25" floppy drives, and no hard drive back in 1989. :)

First game I bought for it was a text-based adventure game named "Amnesia", similar in concept to "Zork" and "Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy" text games. Of course, the MAIN thing I did with it was run my own BBS on it...back in teh days before the internet was built for the masses. :)

hmm.... the first pc game I remember installing was X-Wing Fighter. It came on 14 3.25 inch floppies. I didn't own or have personal access to a pc (besides at school) before 3.25 floppies came out.

I remember playing a "defender" like game on a cartridge based "pc" made by Texas Instruments at a friends house.

First game was the Oregon Trail on an Apple IIc at school. The other games that I played at school were Nibbles and Gorillas (using angle and velocity to land explosive bananas). First home game I played was probably Wolfenstein.
