From my perspective, we have been experiencing a lot of downtime and inefficiency. And while I do not believe this is necessarily the Priests' fault, I would like us to be doing everything we can to get prep'd for raiding.
For starters, I will post "official" raid specs. Although, I understand through difference of opinion that all specs are not set in stone and some variations are called for, these are the 5 builds I would like everyone to use with minimal changes if you intend to be raiding.
Deep Disc (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bVcbuhxtMxoifRt0xtc)
Efficient Disc (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bVcbuhxtMLoifRdzxtcc), preferable if you are low on Int/mp5
Deep Holy (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bVcbzhZcxtcc0qiuVIRt)
Holy+DS (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bVcbkhxzZcxtcc0qihVIob), trades some lower-end holy points for utility
Shadow (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bVcb0hZZGcfVRfzciqfzAo)
Another thing I need everyone to look into is raid consumables.
Oils are irrelevant at this time due to the fact there are no usable oils on post-bc weapons.
Food buffs are not as vital due to the fact that Feasts will be dropped in progression raids, however it would help if everyone stocked up on some in case you die individually or the Feast is not being provided.
There are many options as far as food buffs go, and most are based on what your gear is lacking the most at the time. Acceptable options include the following:
Disc
34758, 34767, 34769, 34756, or fish/meat equivalents.
Holy
42998, 34756, 34755, 34757, or fish/meat equivalents.
Shadow
42996(although you shouldn't be relying on a buff for hit cap), 34767, 34769, 34756, or fish/meat equivalents.
I've also seen some issues with people getting properly gemmed. It's not too difficult. In quality PvE gear, get stats you need to meet the socket color (the bonuses are worth it majority of the time in priest gear, unless you're an spriest that desperately needs Hit), based on your prioritization of stats, but maintaining balance.
For example, for Holy I use 40048 for red gemslots, 40092 for blue gemslots, and a balance between 40104 and 40095.
For Disc, I would use 40094 for blue, a balance of 40012, 40013, and 40017 for yellow, and a balance of 40047, 40048, and 40051 for red, all prioritized by needed stats (as you can see, imo, for red and yellow slots for disc, it's a balance between Int, Crit, and Haste. Figure out what stats you are lacking in. For starters, just go for int, it's vital for any mana efficiency)
For shadow, although the stats for it have changed a decent amount since I last seriously spec'd it, I would go with 39998 for red, 40051/40048 for yellow, and 40026 for blue. Correct me if I am wrong, but these seem to be the best options when you are hit capped. If you are not hit capped, look into 40049 for red, 40014 for yellow, and 40099 for blue.
Meta gems are more straightforward: 41401 is the best for healers atm and my sources tell me that 41285 is the best for Shadow.
The final section is what I consider to be most important, getting your flasks and pots.
Pots: 33448/42545 for healers, 40212 and 40211 for DPS
Flasks: 40082 or 40404 for healers, 40082.
Although these are not yet for sale from the GB as far as I know, you can express your seriousness for raiding by looking up the mats and getting it made by an alchemist: Atomicbomb, Lucivarr, or otherwise.
For Major Glyphs, I will list highest priority to lowest for each spec.
Disc
42408
42400
42411/42409
Holy
42400
42403
42409(5man)/42396(25man)/42411
Shadow
42407
42415
42414/42406
For Minor Glyphs, 43374 and 43342(for healers) are most preferable.
That concludes this post and hopefully you will take this information seriously.
Hoping to see us all ready to raid in the future,
Holytroly
