I have hit lvl 67 (bruther) and as soon as I hit 68 I’m going to the new zone. I’m almost all holy due to trying to learn healing in instances. i have been shadow from lvl 10 thru 63. This last weekend i was trying to power lvl my fishing, cooking, first aid, also tailoring and enchanting. Am i wasting my time getting all my professions where they should be and not focusing on getting to lvl 80?
also I’m thinking about respec to something that lvls me faster (mostly shadow). I’m not having a problem lvling as a healer but I have to stop and drink all the time.
Just want to hear some of yalls thoughts.

I have taken the time to ponder the almost overwhelming responses and have decided to respect back to shadow. At least until I hit 78. I respect everyone’s thoughts on the matter but my mind has been made. This post is closed. lol

HAHA :D
Well I'll tell you what, you can just heal instances like a billion times and get to 80 that way. I know thats the way Blaze did it, and it worked pretty well. Or you could go shadow and solo the way to 80 and do some instances along the way if you want to. If I was you I would solo the way to 80 as shadow, You'll get your fill of healing later anyways. :)

I agree with Jartin. Go Shadow. You'll have a much easier time leveling. In all honesty, healing really isn't that hard to pick up. The only thing that REALLY takes practice IMO is tanking. Once you get the right mod for healing, 5 mans become pretty easy. (I use heal bot, others use GRID. Both are GREAT mods and I recommend you look into one). And like Jartin said, you will get more than your fair share of healing once you are max level :)
For your professions:
Cooking and Fishing: EASILY be power leveled at 80 and won't really do you a ton of good to have now. Sure, the buffs are nice from cooking, but aren't gonna make or break you at this point.
First Aid: You're a priest....heal yourself and save your cloth for tailoring.
Tailoring and Enchanting: Both a freaking pain in the butt to level! Neither of them are really that special at 80 right now anyway. I say level them as you get mats, but don't go out of your way to farm stuff. If you aren't max when you hit 80, just go back and level it. You will be able to farm and buy stuff way easier at 80 anyway, taking you less time in the long run. But if you happen to get mats for tailoring, make something and then DE it. Might as well do it if you have it. Just wouldn't focus on it too much if I were you. If you level faster than your profs and start getting cloth and such that you can't lose, go stick it in the bank. Speaking of cloth. Getting your tailoring to a certain before Northrend would actually be wise. You can purchase something for tailoring in Northrend which increases the amount of cloth that drops for you. Not sure what level you need, but it is REALLY nice.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any more advice. If you need help from a Priest, make sure to hit up Kae or Holytroly. Both know their stuff.
