Can anyone help with that? I want something that is stable, decently strong and as cheap as friggin possible. I don't have time to do the research this crap. Please hook an overworked gamer up.

you want to buy it premade or build one yourself?

considering the fact that he does not even have time to look it up, probably a premade.

Ask Bakka and Willow, let them fight it out. Take the winner's PC and go build it :)

Well he did say he wants as cheap as possible.. which means hes going to want to build his own to maximize the most bang for his buck, thats why I asked.
Buying a premade gaming rig usually gets pretty spendy.

So many downsides to getting a pre-built machine. You pay more, you get tons of crap software that your never gonna use, but annoys you, you pay for things you don't really want, etc. My suggestion is to have someone you trust research the parts for you (someone suggested Willow or Bakka) order the parts and then find a friend to build it for you and you pay them 50 bucks. They make some cash and you get a great PC for way cheaper than in the store. Win/win situation if you ask me.

There, what Rush posted, however, I'd swap out the PSU for a dual 12 volt rail and downgrade the case to save a tad bit more. Never used Geil ram so no idea on quality of that, only has 1 review on newegg.

Alot of times you can find a case with an included power supply for a good deal, just be careful as sometimes the PS' can be less than good.

I had a dell XPS for awhile and it worked wonderful.. but your also going to be paying for extra you really dont need like an other OS.. just reuse your old one Imo. Also paying for labor and shipping and any little extras the core system doesn't provide.
But, if your not wanting the hassle of putting one together $1,000 really isn't too bad.. of course for that same $1,000 you could build a pretty damn nice rig that will last twice as long lol...

Everyone always mentions hassle of putting together a PC. I just don't understand the "hassle". It takes 20 minutes to physically put it together and an hour to install an OS, tack in another 15 minutes of installing drivers and you have a brand new computer, that will run better/built as you wanted for 30-40% cheaper than retail.

A lot of people get nervous about messing with circuits and the inner workings, its not hard but there are a few small things that can go wrong. get a buddy to do it if your not comfortable with it.
Sorry cant help out.......playing to much WOW to do any research!

I have to say O, that my experience with Cyberpowerpc ended up being a very good one. For the $$$ it turned out to be a great investment. XgrinderX and myself priced all of the components at newegg compared to what they were charging and came down to just a few bucks difference which came down to warranty and cabling.
P.S. Be careful you have enough ummph in the power supply which was the only downfall. But no biggy in my opinion.

Now I'm on the right track. My time is worth more money than it takes to build a pc. I don't get enjoyment out of it, never had, and never will. I want a warranty with operation parts and a stable OS and NO installation labor or RMA bs that comes with building your own PC.

I always enjoy building my own. Of course I do pretty much the same thing for a living, so it's not that big of a deal to me. If I lived closer, I would just build it for you and save you some $$. Today's systems are almost fool proof. Not like when I started building clones and you had to set the clock speed and multiplier with jumpers....lol. Just make sure your pre-built has a big enough PS for what you want to run, and demand WD hard drive(s). I can't tell you the amount of Maxtor (and now Seagate) drives I have had to RMA over the last few years.

Hit their website. You can basically custom one together. Mine ended up only being $1174 with:
Quad core Intel 2.4 ghz
3 gig ram
2 Geforce 8800gt's in an sli
Apevia case with 3 fans - front, side, rear
I added a gaming keyboard from Logitech
standard on the rest
Oh! And you will need a 600+watt power supply to make it all happy.
** I did go with XP even though it was extra.

Quit fiddle fartin around then O. Just order a Dell gaming PC if you don't want to build one anymore.
And by the way the wholesaler I use is HQ'd in Texas somewhere. I custom build my PC still but I have them assemble it for like 25 bucks then I get the 1 yr warranty. They have all the good stuff ASUS mb's and stuff so let me know and I'll hook ya up if your interested in that. They'll still install XP Pro too if you want.

Took, 1/2 hour to install parts, rest was software loading. Top of the line Intel I7. Now, if she wants when pricing comes down, she can get a faster 1366 socket CPU. (better mem, dual cards, etc) 1305.00 total w/shipping
Very cheap and latest and greatest.

Oh okay! I remember Griz. If she can like you than she can like me too. I actually do plan to hit your neck of the woods in the next couple months. Not sure if I'll be building a box yet but I'll still be around.
HI GRIZ!
