just makin' sure-- I can install games on a second, third, etc., internal hard drive, and they will work as if i installed them in C:/program files. amirite?

Yes, but never erase or Reformat the C:> drive. Windows and in others hide sub directories have info about that game u install (settings, data, save files, ect.)
If u erase or reformat the c all the game u install in other HD is still there but not work because some internal files r missing in Windows. This is the windows era not DOS.

thx death, that would be a tragedy if i actually formatted C: drive. heh
anyways, this new setup will make my games and everything more organized.

not sure, but i think u have to have a different drive letter for each HD check out [Jett]-Melvinator reply on my post "need help" pretty smart setup :cool:

Ok, installed a new hhd today. I turned on the pwr, made sure the hdd was recognized in the BIOS (it was and still is), started up, and then my comp was recognizing the new hardware when... it shut off. i know why it shut off; the plug came loose off the wall outlet. fkin A
so now, xp doesn't even recognize it in my computer or computer management. however i see the drive in device manager (stupid thing says its working properly/enabled), and like i said before, the bios screen recognizes it.
plz, wtf happened, and how can i solve the prob. thx if you read all of this nonsense
Hah, it was in computer management all along, just had to scroll down the list
SO anyways, how many partitions is just right???
