Hey,
anybody good with adobe? I have mspublisher 2003 and Adobe 9, but they aren't playing together nice. I have a custome sized sheet (12.625 x 10.875) that isn't converting to pdf correctly.
It's really frustrating because I actually have been able to do up to 3 pages and it's turned out great, but on other jobs it's either crapped out, or done something wacky with the pages. I've tried breaking down the large jobs into smaller ones, but I get the same results.

I've already created a custom paper size, changed printer settings, changed adobe settings, etc.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Email me the pub file and I will see if I can convert it.

Hey MR,

If you just need a .pdf file and don't need anything special about it, you could try "PrimoPDF". It installs and becomes an additional printer. So you "print" to that printer and it makes ANY document into a .pdf. I dunno if that will help you or not, but it works pretty well for basic stuff.

I might try it, but i have Adobe, so this should be better. Grinder I'll get the files to you soon, I'm really busy this week, and this is for a personal side project.

If you want to send it to me, I can try it. I have Office 2007 and Acrobat 9. Maybe that combo will do it. I won't be here tomorrow, but should be here at least till lunch today. I might take off after lunch.

RB :)

hey guys, thanks for all your offers. I've been super busy at work and haven't been able to do much outside of work.

I think my work laptop is a bit funky, but I was able to get all but 1 page pdf'ed by saving as a post script file and then creating a pdf from that.

Medium.

This may or may not help in your situation but it's worth a try?

Here at work when we convert drawings from autocad to adobe they always look okay in the files and print previews, but alot of times when printed they are distorted or lines get placed in incorrect spots ect...

There was two ways we've been able to "sometimes" work around the problem..

1. Print each page one at a time, seems to help in some instances.

2. Switch printers, for some reason one printer will mess up certian pages and another will print them fine but mess up on others?

It seems to be something in the adobe program since we've never had trouble printing any of the sheets directly from cad or files.

BTW: Most of our drawings are on 11" X 17" sheets. As a reference.
