What is an acceptable GPU Idle temperature? Mine is reporting that it is 151F which seems high to me.

From my very little experience, 70c is about the end of the safe zone, or at least for my card it is. I've never seen a card @ 151f while idle, I'd check and make sure the fan is clean and spinning.

70c -> 158f

I have a 8800GT, second one in fact, and they've both idled in the 150F range, and this is normal according to Nvidia and eVGA.

However, I've always felt this was high, but as I said both Nvidia and eVGA say this is A-OK.

Mine is a eVGA GeForce 7900. Where do you find that information? I have looked but obviously looked in the wrong places.

Never mind, I found an answer at eVGA's FAQ: http://www.evga.com/support/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=57289

If you need more assurance, my card idles at about 154F. Once again, evga says it's fine. : D

And if you're OCD about having a lower temp, you can always air out the dust build-up and then buy an antec gpu fan or something

Without doing anything for four hours, my CPU is idling at 114F. And since I am running an onboard 8300 I'm guessing thats as close as it'll get.
