I love 40k, but I'm definitely going to give this a shot. I'm thinking of starting as either Greenskins or Chaos.

Heres hoping I get into the beta like some of you lucky bastages have!

“Sticks ‘n’ stones’ll break my bones, but Gork and Mork’ll smash yer ‘ead to bits if’n you don’t sod off you big bugger!”
- Gahzbag, Goblin Shaman telling off a Giant

“Wuz betta den one choppa? Two choppas! Two choppas is one more… is one times da… is lots more fun! Waaagh!”

I used to play the table top versions of Warhammer Fantasy, 40k, Necromunda, and Blood Bowl.

How is Warhammer Online?

Aw. :(

I used to have a Greenskiz, a High Elf, a Skaven, and a Bettonian fantasy armies. Had some Ultramarines in 40k, and seom Delaque's in Necromunda. Played all the old Warhammer games(Dark Omen, etc.) and have Dawn of War but I've waited for Warhammer Online since they announced it years ago in White Dwarf.

I don't(can't afford) to play any longer and thought this might be a way to get back into it without all the related cost/time involved in the miniatures.

Damn honest, tight lipped, trust worthy beta testers. :D :p

I played Dawn of War back in the day pretty regular. I picked up Dark Crusade for the single player though. I've only checked out the Necrons as they are intriguing to me.

Them cursed necrons are sooooooooo...overpowered!!! They made them way too powerful...Have you tried any of the other races? (Space marines still kick a**)

I may end up leading a guild on WO. I just need more details ahead of time so I can have an entry strategy. I would like to start off on the right foot if I do decide to lead a Jett guild. Willow, I know you can't answer any specific questions regarding WO but can you point me in the right direction?

Things I need to know are
How are guilds managed?
Are they large or small?
Do they need an income to stay alive?
Are there player limits in the battle grounds? If so, what is it?
Are there any over powered classes right now?
Is there raid content like WoW?
Are there regular goals for guilds to reach?

Again, you don't have to answer these specifically. If you can point me into the right direction that would be plenty. I wouldn't mind leading a guild in WO but I need to know if we can be successful.

I've only played a little, took over the Tau capital city last night.

I like upgrading the commander, thats pretty fun. I'll probably play the campaign again later, once I beat it w/ the Necrons.

I have the Dawn of War games myself.. not bad to play when you want to think strategy for a bit.

I agree with the Necrons being way overpowered. A medium sized army backed by a fully restored Monolith = win. I prefer the Tau myself, require some strategy vs sheer man power.

I'm looking into getting WO when it's available to the rest of us nubs :) (frigin' beta testers)
