My comp gets hiccups whenever I play a game. I noticed this when I started a new game in Crysis. Can anyone tell me what the common causes for hiccups are? And maybe someone can help me in identifying the exact problem
Thanks to anyone who helps!

Describe the "hiccups" better, because I'm almost positive that your computer doesn't have these. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiccup)

My pc may not have a diaphragm, but it does have "...small and unrepeated aberration[s]..." wikipedia defines.

Hiccups are normally caused by something taking over priority for a second or two, then releasing. Also can be associated with Hard Drive write issues, but I don't think this is your problem.
While your PC specs are on the low end of playing Crysis well, I think you're having an issue with some software running in the background. Maybe give us a HijackThis (http://download.cnet.com/Trend-Micro-HijackThis/3000-8022_4-10227353.html) log?

Well I do have quite a few processes running in the background if that's what you mean. Idk why, but I have like 6 svchost.exe's running.
And, sure, I'll get a hijackthis post here asap.
[oh, and i forgot to mention that it only happens when the game loads up after the menu screen, then it's mostly smooth sailing]

While I know the macros are commands for WoW, you might want to look at the programs in the edits of the first post.
