Well I went out last week and was looking for what I would have to do to upgrade from my current setup:

AMD Athlon 64 3800+
ASUS A8N SLI-Deluxe
4x 512 MB PC 3200 RAM

and I thaught for a long while that grabbing an FX-60 to plop in replacement of that slow proc' would fix it up good, but the price never really came down on it even after it was stopped being manufactured, even on ebay the price for them used was still in the high 200's. So I started to think of other things. Mainly if I was gunna switch from socket 939, cry, to AM2 then I would have to get a new proc' motherboard and ram. This seemed like a lot, but after looking at all the prices it seemed resonable.

So officially as of 10 am today I have baught the following:

BIOSTAR TForce590SLI Deluxe AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138033R)

AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Windsor 3.2GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM2 125W Dual-Core Processor - Retail (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103228)

WINTEC AMPX 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820161030)

Now I know I went mid-range on the motherboard and ram, but man that processor is smoking....

I am anxious to get the stuff in and switch it out with my current setup.
Just wanted to let you all know whats up with me as I havn't much time to play games, but with this upgrade I will be ready to play.

So what do you all think?
