Tactic goes like this:
Group setup:
70 Mage
70 Pala
xx Any class leecher

Pala pulls entire instance without dealing damage to the mobs. Pulls them to the entrance. Kicks the mage from the group. Pala now have 1 minute to aoe the mobs down to 20-30%. He exits the instance. The mages finishes the mobs off, before he gets a reinvite to the group, to avoid teleportation. Since the leecher is alone in the instance he gets all xp as if he killed the mobs himself.
Note no damage can be done to the mobs while the mage is still in the group or it wont work.

LOL. Yeah, I would love to try it. I have the mage already, just need a pally :( Actually, not 100% sure my mage is good enough :( He's pretty decked out in greens ATM. But yeah, would still like to try it if anybody has a pally they would be willing to use.

Maybe we give Ashton involved. I will try to set something up soon so we can test it

If I could stomach getting a pally to 70, this might be nice... :P. Maybe once Cryten gets to 70 I can use him and Oldhag to lvl alts on a 3rd account.... I don't know why though..... Not like I can play that often.

RB :)

Sweet. Just let me know in game some time. Also realize that we can use up to 4 70's to pull this off to get the strat down nicely.

Good to know :) Better hurry guys if you want to use this. Word is really spreading on this technique and would expect Bliz to figure out a way to nerf it.

Anybody have any ideas on another class's this could possible work with? I'm thinking the mage might be substituted by a lock, but for the life of me can't figure out how to replace the Pally :(

Not sure, but I will say this, I will pay gold for someone to help me do this for my lock. I have the mages and my lock is at 30 and a druid at 35. I most want to try this out this weekend.

Ok, so there is a little deviation available to this strat. Was messing around with Bindi, Ariees and Moonies last night (thanks for taking the time guys) and we figured out a couple slight tweaks that can be made to this strat. Moonies is holy and was having a little trouble bringing back big groups do to the lack of life and armor. So we decided to try using my druid. I like this because I was able to stealth pretty far into the instance and grab mobs on my way back taking about half as much damage as moonies was and making it quite a bit easier. The way this works though is I had to just bring them to Moonies and leave at the same time as him and then Bindi would just AOE them down. Not much different from the original strat, but works well if you have access to a Feral Druid and not a Prot pally. So using this strat does actually also alleviate the need for a pally altogether if you have don't have one available. Let's change it up to 70 tank (any class will work fine) 2 AOE's (preferably mage on both). If your tank is NOT a pally, you simply do the same as I did with my druid and bring them to whoever is AOEing. Now we were having trouble on the longer runs of mobs staying with us (odd I know but meh). To avoid this have the mage that is dealing the killing blows wait outside so that the tank can do just small amounts of damage to the mobs to make sure they follow him (I just used Thorns to do this). Once in place, stop the damage/remove buffs that do damage and then have the mage come in. As soon as he is in, boot him from the group, AOE mobs /profit.

There is one downside to this strat. Blizz now saves the amount of times you enter a new instance to your ENTIRE account. I had done like 3-4 with my mage and only did 1 with Druid and I couldn't get into ANY instance with any of my characters. So just make sure to get the entire instance cleared every time to get most bang for your buck.

Ok, this might sound a little harsh, but our group got to talking about this last night. Ariees and I are will to help anybody out with this. Just hook up and we'll try to work out times. However, NO LEACHERS!!! If you are NOT willing to help others do this, do not expect help from us. We are not a power leveling server LOL. We will however teach as many would like to know how to and then hopefully people can get some alts leveled quickly. I am willing to level a prot pally for no other purpose than this if people are willing to help me. So anyway, let's have as much fun with this as possible before Blizz goes and nerfs our joy.

If I'm not mistaken if you use more than one leacher you will lower the average level of all the players in the instance and increase your XP income by doing so. I don't believe XP is given out as a percentage to each player. I think each player is given XP based on the mob level and type and any penalty to that is from the average level of the assisting players.

2x lvl 70
3x lvl 20
Average level = 40

Could someone confirm this please?

I believe you are correct Omegi. However, not exactly sure where you are going with this though. By using the exact strategy listed above, the lowbie is the ONLY person getting credit for the kills. The system thinks he is the only one killing them and getting XP. Like last night, Ariees was getting something crazy like 900 (rested) XP per kill at level 30-31. We got him like half a level from just one pull.

ok, now that makes sense. Yeah, the lowbie is the only one getting credit with kills with this strat. I tell ya one thing about last night, was pretty funny to hear Ariees reactions to all the XP he was getting LOL. Really wish I could have recorded it

dude that was crazy to sit there and watch my xp bar go up 30% in one pull. Of course we truly can not give you an xp/time number as we were figuring out different strats as Stab was saying.

But on a normal pull, I would expect about 2 levels per instance. Remembering that you can only do 5 before you get the boot. We just need to make sure we clear the entire thing to get the biggest bang for the buck.

I will be on around 5 to 6 server, so lets give it a go.

Sadly, we were all correct. Blizzard was quick to nerf this strategy /cry good try all. Glad we got a couple some quick levels though.
