The NVidia card, because I run Linux and ATI linux drivers are BEYOND crap.

EDIT: Also, I had bought a Radeon HD2600 and even the WINDOWS drivers in the box did not work. They wouldn't even install... said they did not support the card that was installed. The ones available for download didn't work either. There were threads all over their support forums with people having the exact same problem. I'll never buy an ATI card again until the day comes that I buy an NVidia card and the drivers on the CD don't work. Then I'll give ATI a shot again.

EDIT2: And since NVidia doesn't SUCK, that's not ever going to happen.

Another point of view with the same conclusion is:

Nvidia has phonomenal openGL support, ATI has terrible openGL support. And they both perform about equally as well on directX applications.

This might not be applicable for most things, but it is noticible if: you use any type of development software in the 3d area, use any open source games or software requiring 3d support (I think this is correct), and linux runs really well with a Nvidia card because: 1 the driver support is great, and two linux uses openGL only.

Hope this could be of some help.

I have an Nvidia 8600 GTS and it works great even on a 21inch widescreen monitor at high resolutions.
