Hey guys. Could use a little help with this. I wanted to put some Bible Studies on my iPod. I have the complete through the Bible with Jon Courson on CD (about 800 studies worth). Here's my problem. The format appears to be in .wav and when I put the CD in, iTunes does not go to the page it normally does when putting a CD in. It just stays at my library. So I click file/add to library/continue to add studies from the CD. The odd thing is if I leave the CD in the computer, it will load them to my iPod just fine. However, if I take the CD out and then try to load them, it says that it can't find the studies on my computer. It's almost like it's just putting them in my directory, but won't actually save them to my computer. Any ideas? Oh yeah, I have an iPod nano if that makes a difference.

I would rip the CD to your computer, not using iTunes, then import the folder where you ripped them to, into iTunes. Alot of ripping and burning programs will change the format from wave to mp3 during the ripping process. Not knowing what you have, you may or may not be able to do that.

rip from the cd using a different program (maybe windows media player), download audacity, import the wav files that you need to audacity, export the wav files as mp3 formatted files*, then drag and drop the new mp3 files to your nano in itunes.

*exporting as mp3 format requires 'lame_enc.dll' which can be found anywhere on the internet along with audacity

Thank Medium. However, I did try this using Window Media Player and it didn't work :( It would not even allow me to rip the media from the CD. I think I'm just kinda screwed on this one, but not sure...

Hey... make a folder on your computer and copy the entire contents of the CD to the folder from Windows Explorer. THEN tell iTunes to import the files into your library, but point it to the folder instead of the CD.

You may want to remove the existing ones from the library first.

Then you should be good to go.

EDIT: Also, find you a program that will convert .WAV files to .MP3. That will save you a ton of drive space and you'll be able to fit more on your Nano.
