Mrs. Tracker and I are going to hook the Sega Genesis back up for some PGA Tour golf. It's a lot of fun and with 4 controllers we often used to play golf with dinner guests instead of cards or watching a movie. We are looking for input on a new game system that would provide the same kind of interacting fun. Cost, playability, simplicity for people who aren't experienced gamers, and pure laughing fun, are some of our questions. My son plays T-Woods most recent on PS2 and it is a blast but may be a higher learning curve for non-gamers/house guests. The Wii system looks fun with the actual physical involvement but we don't know anything about it.
Thanks

No question, the Wii will get anyone of all ages and abilities playing video games.

Agreed....the Wii is the family-style gaming console. :)

only thing though, if you are looking strictly for a golf game, and are looking at the wii-sports golf to be adequet, think again, that mini game is pretty bad, but T-Woods and some others on the wii are pretty good... oh and the other games are amazing!

Not much experience with the Wii myself. However, it appears you have a PS2 already and I use to play Hotshot Golf ALL THE TIME. That game was pretty easy to pick up on, but was a ton of fun. Graphics are cartoon like, but very smooth. Anyway, hope that helps some.

So maybe the Wii with T-Woods? What would be a cost estimate for the system, game, and enough controllers ? Is the T-Woods game good on graphics? I think we would prefer realism over cartoon like graphics, but we're open to suggestion.
Thanks

well a wii is 250, which is the system and wii-sports and a controller and nun-chuck
a review of T-woods is here: http://www.gamespot.com/video/934378/6167384/tiger-woods-pga-tour-07-video-review
more controllers is 40 a peice, but I think you can play t-woods swiching off the controller, the review does say the graphics aren't amzing, but it shines with the controls..
