Try uninstalling your audio drivers in safe mode (hold F8 before windows loads) and reinstalling the newest available version.

Make sure to close any other applications that use sound inputs (check your system tray, under the clock).

Do you have an onboard soundcard?
Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices
*Select the Audio Tab.
In the Sound Recording field is there a drop-down listbox where you can select more than one recording device?
*Select the Voice Tab.
In the Voice Recording field select the Test Hardware button.
Complete the Sound Hardware Test from windows.

If it still doesnt work, lemme know what you found and i'll try to get in a bit deeper.

Also, Demon, can you make a new thread with your issue so we dont have 2 subjects in the same thread (: it helps me stay organized in my thoughts.
