Well, I'm ordering a new computer this weekend and I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions as to which kind to get?
Looking for something between 800-1400$
(all i need is it to run WoW well, and to be able to handle my college studies)

I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 right now that I bought for work, it was an geforce 8400 in it and runs wow at 50-60 FPS, it also runs COD4 at about 30-40 so it handles games very well.
I paid $900 but i bought mine from a private party that I found through local classifieds, I believe new they run about $1250 - $1400. I haven't had ANY issues with it all and it runs games very well.
I have Dell xps M1210 which you can review the specs and consumer review here

It was $1,100 like 4 months ago so I am sure it has come down in price. I can play wow with no problems, run msn in the background, use vent, and surf the web all at the same time.

12.1".........Does that take away from/hinder gaming experience at all?
At first I thought it would because I use a 22" and my husband uses a 32" but for me it doesn't take away from the experience but then again I use one of those lap tables so the laptop is in my face haha.

lol, I went to dell.com and decided to customize a computer or whatever.
This is what i came up with. (http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?oc=dndwpd1&c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&kc=productdetails~inspnnb_1525)
How does that look, about in my price range and it seems to have everything i need, see anything i missed?
lawl "Gunuine Windows" and my god $280 more just to have a blue ray drive >< Glad I bought a PS3 although you did forget to order the stickers so you could put flames and hello kitty on your laptop :) Other than that looks good.

If you are going to go the Dell route on a laptop, you should check out the deals here (http://outlet.us.dell.com/ARBOnlineSales/topics/global.aspx/arb/online/en/InventorySearch?c=us&cs=22&l=en&s=dfh). Choose Inspiron and XPS Laptops option under Stockroom.
I bought my mom a 1525 that was previously ordered new and it works perfectly. I would either get an Inspiron 1520 or 1720 due to the option to have an Nvidia video card upgrade. Be sure to click on the blue link under the serial numbers....it shows all the other features and software that the laptop comes with.

Get a Mac!
i got a MacBook Pro for school, and i love it. granted MBPs aren't in that price range, but MacBooks surely are, and they are loads of fun, and you don't have to deal with windows if you don't want to.
I actually play WoW on my MacBook Pro (using a Logitech G7 i stole from a desktop around the house), and it runs smooth, and also runs fairly cool!
