AMD Mobo?

Well, the power went out this afternoon for brief period of time (30 minutes i hear? i was asleep), and now, my desktop computer won't boot past the ASUS splash screen... I'm not really sure what to do, nor do I really know what's wrong... maybe reset the CMOS or something?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated :)

I had that happen to me once and I was able to reset my bios and it worked fine afterwords.

Now, another problem, right after I booted into XP, i got a BSOD, citing this:

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

any suggestions? :) (i'm looking it up right now) the computer won't even boot all the way into XP anymore.

ps: i'm running memtest on the computer as i type this.

i think i got it. One of my sticks of RAM was faulty, thereby causing the error. pulled it out (now down to 2 gigs) and presto! it works!
