Vent/Sound Card/Mic problems

Like I said in HFC's topic, I can hear in vent just fine and dandy but I cannot speak sometimes. Its just a periodical thing. I got the mic around Christmas as a gift, but it/vent/whatever just quit working a week or so ago. One time I restarted my computer and it worked fine, but when I tried that the other day it didnt so idk what is going on there. Please post if you can help ;)

Test ur mic in windows or other app. first, only to try if this mic work fine. If the mic work I think is prob with the config in ventrilo. But first check in other app first. If the mic not work in other app, ummm ur mic is damage.:(

Its not my mic because I was using it fine in TF2 today. Can someone help me out with the vent end of it?
