image and restart problems

well all started when suddnely the pc started to restart with out pressing any buttom.the pc restarts alone after a period of time,today as usual this happend but this time when the monitor was turned on after the restart of the pc,the image on the monitor was mostly white with a lot of brightness,i set the brightness and contrast of the monitor to minimum,but the problem persists,there is a difference but not a big one.i was wondering if it had something to do with the sharpening or something like that.the monitor is quite new so is the video card,i was thinkin of reinstalling windows to see if this helps but before doing that i would like to see if any of u had the same problem before and know how to solve it.

What kind of power supply do you have?

sounds like a video card died to me, but that might have been caused by the power supply.... when a vid card goes things like the above happen... try playing something intensive and see if it will run it or restart again...

i take the computer to a technitian.I dont think is the videocard becuase its very new,maybe the monitor,maybe the supply power,etc.Lets see what the computer technic says.
