New banner?

Anubody want to take up designing a new banner? Anything goes but must include somewhere in it:

Jett Community and SINCE 1999

Nothing wrong with the one we have but it would be kinda kewl if we had a new look for the generic page (default) and when it is stretched, dosnt look wierd.

ya kno what'd be uberkoolaid? a banner that says Jett in the middle and the banner background having uneven boxes with pics of different games, sorta like the gta boxes but not too similar. heh just throwing that out

I have a banner rotator for the page so multiple banners can be used. It would be cool if we had a bunch to use. .gif or .jpg would be needed though, other than that vector, abstract, photo bg, etc is OK with me.

Ok I've finished one, will upload it to photobucket and then post here.

Here we go. I'm not quite sure I like it 100%. There are some changes I need to make to it as well, I still have the psd file so I'm open to any suggestions.

What if you use the banner rotator and put up the banner(s) that everyone makes instead of using just one?

400px high is a little excessive, try something about half that tall.

I remain firm in my belief we need to get into a new FPS.

i like yellow's banner too,but i would make some changes to the part where ir says JETT COMMUNITY,i wouldnt put the 1337 joke and some other changes but for the rest its very nice banner.

Can someone make a nice animated one...flash even? It would be cool to see something like mine with 9 or so variations where one of the games is playing an actual video of the game in its box.

umm, banner rotator size is the same for all
height 160
width 999

all show same for me. if you want to redo to above, post here, but all showing same for me.

ahh, yours are smaller.
If you make them above, should be OK, I thought the would resize to 160x999, but if below that they use its orginal size. make sense?

I've seen 3 or 4 banners fly by now and no offense to those that made them but I dont like any of them and all for the same reason. The name Jett in all of them isnt clear. In one it was blurry, in the other it was pixelated, in the other it was being squashed. Please resize your banners appropriately and make sure Jett is crisp, clean, and legible.

None look pixelated nor do they look blurry. At least on my screen. Mine is really blurry, but that is because I never resized it. I wasn't quite happy with it anyway.

No. What should I resize them to? I made them the size of the one that we had originally, so if you could slap that rotater around and make it post the original size - that would make things easier.

Creative banner, but it's not really representative of what jett plays/has played. We've never been a halo community. I cant tell what the majority of the ones with guns are but I assume at least some of them come from CS, CS:S, BF1942, BF2, RS, or CoD4. Anything other than those had a really short shelflife here and I dont know if they're worth mentioning. Also the pic of a guy with a sword... is that WoW? Looks more like L2. SWG was another game which had a minor following here at Jett a few years ago for those still working on banners and looking for more ideas.

All of these should sound familiar to this community.

Yellow, dont let Bakka bother you, your banner is great, just needed to be re sized. Do what I do, when you see a post from Bakka, start laughing because he will also have something negative to say, never positive. Bakka is like a zit, it hurts for awhile but then it gets popped and dosnt hurt anymore. :D
